What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

David was invited to my place of work to discuss pension options with myself and other work colleagues.

How has David Hardman helped you?

He took the time to look over the pension plan I had in place already and informed me that this was in fact not the best policy I could have. He seamlessly set up a new plan that suited all my retirement needs all done after clear and easy to understand advice. David does a yearly review of my situation and advises me of any changes I need to make. In fact at our last meeting he told me to leave all my pension plans as they were and not to transfer anything. This to me shows me David has my interests at heart I find David to be a genuine and easy to get along with person A very clear and easy to understand adviser. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

I have now exactly the plans in place I was looking for now I've retired.

What could they have done better?

Nothing could be better I'm very pleased with the plans David has put in place for me.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Early stages of planning for retirement but I thought it best to put something in place which would help later as I am extremely busy, and time is already moving quickly

How has David Hardman helped you?

I found David to be very clear and he managed to make the discussions about pensions pretty jargon-free, so that I had a good understanding of my options. I also had a couple of previous pensions I needed help with. After he looked into these, he recommended one to come across but one to stay where it was. This indicated that he prioritised my interests, I know I can trust him. He assessed my position on a number of fronts, and put forward a cost-effective solution which could also be monitored in terms of investment.

Have you seen the outcome you were hoping for?

Yes, and we will have regular reviews, so I look forward to progressing.

What could they have done better?

Very pleased overall, he couldn't have done anything better.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

I've known and worked with David for over 15 years now in both a professional and personal capacity. Initially in a professional capacity when I was Finance Director of a computer software company, and wanted to look beyond the normal bank deposit accounts for investing the company's excess surplus cash to achieve a better than average return. We researched and entered into several 'non-standard' niche investments over the years which all produced excellent returns compared to a deposit account. David provided excellent practical and objective advice, and was never afraid to disagree with and challenge whenever he thought necessary; something I very much appreciated. Following on, I decided to move my personal pension and savings portfolio over to David to manage for me, which he has successfully been doing now for many years. Personally, I very much like and appreciate the 'hand-on, managed' approach David brings to the advice he gives. I'm extremely happy with David as my IFA, and have no qualms in recommending him to friends and family.

Yes, I'm able to manage my portfolio in a way which both takes into account the downside risk and also the potential upside gains.

What were the circumstances that caused you to initially look for an adviser?

Divorce resulted in pension sharing order and I needed a qualified adviser to help sort this as well as save for eventual retirement

David took the time necessary to explain all the options to me, these were very clear and carried out over a number of meetings. He is very genuine and easy to get along with and I became more confident throughout the process that I had chosen the right adviser. At no time did I feel pressured and his manner and way of providing advice has really helped me at a difficult time. Looking forward to progressing with my pensions being looked after by him
